How to choose the colors of indoor tile?

(1). According to the overall style

The color of the tiles for bedroom needs to match the overall style. For example, you can choose gray and white tiles for Nordic style and modern simple style, and you can choose ceramic tile of dark colors such as black and reddish brown for retro style or European style decoration.

(2). Matching the color of the wall

The wall color is also an important reference for us to choose the color of the bedroom tile. If the wall is warm, the ceramic tile should choose the corresponding warm color, such as beige, original white, etc., to make the bedroom warm and bright.

(3). According to the light intensity

The color of the tiles in the bedroom can also be matched according to the light. For a living room with bright natural lighting, you can choose darker porcelain  tiles. If the bedroom has poor light, it is better to choose light-colored tiles, (like white porcelain tile 600x600).

Which type of tiles should you select for different applications?

1. Ceramic tile

Ceramic tile is also called full body tile，which is a general term for a class of floor tiles. All floor tiles with a water absorption rate of less than or equal to 0.5% belong to ceramic tiles, which are also the most common type of household floor tile products. The surface of the full body tile is not glazed or polished. The material and color of the front and back are the same, and the anti-slip and abrasion resistance are good (the surface is rough, and ordinary scratches are invisible). Applicable environment: balconies, terraces, and other open areas.

2. Polished porcelain tile

Polished porcelain tiles, or vitrified tiles are a kind of tiles made by polishing the surface of the full body tile, which can be understood as a high-gloss version of the full body tile. Take white polished porcelain tiles 400 x 400 for examle, as the surface is polished, its slip resistance and abrasion resistance are slightly inferior to that of the full body tile. And there are also pores on the surface, and the water absorption is good. Polished tiles are not suitable for use in kitchens and bathrooms and other spaces with high moisture. Applicable environment: living room, corridor, etc.

3. Glazed tile

Glazed tile is made by applying a layer of glaze on the surface of the full body tile. The biggest advantage of glazed tile is its good stain resistance. Because the glaze closes the pores on the surface of the Ceramic tile body, it is difficult for stains to enter. The glazed tiles also have very good anti-slip performance, and the surface can be fired with various patterns. Applicable environment: living room floor, kitchen, bathroom (wall).
